TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Confidentiality:
All counselling services, including scheduling of or attendance at appointments, content of your sessions, progress in counselling, and your records are confidential. No information would be used without your prior permission.
Exceptions to confidentiality:
-
The therapists work as a team. I may discuss cases and consult with other therapists and supervisors to provide you the best possible care. These consultations are for professional and training purposes - your identity like name and location is completely confidential.
-
If there is evidence of clear and imminent danger or harm to self-and/or others, a therapist is legally required to report this information to the authorities or your emergency contact/s, for ensuring your safety.
-
Disclosure of information, if required by law.
-
I follow a 'no-secrets' policy in couple and family therapy. I will help you to bring any undisclosed issues discussed in individual intake session, to your partner.
Risks in Couples Therapy:
Exploring emotions and attachment wounds can feel vulnerable—especially if you've been stuck in distressing patterns for a long time. Sometimes, couples uncover deep fears or needs that haven’t been voiced before.
While this can feel overwhelming at first, it’s a vital part of the healing process. When handled with care, it allows couples to build a new way of connecting, grounded in honesty, empathy, and safety.
If at any point you feel distressed during or after a session, please let me know—we’ll move through it together, with compassion.
Benefits of EFT-Based Therapy:
-
Deeper emotional connection
-
Increased security and trust in the relationship
-
Better communication and less reactivity
-
A new understanding of each other’s inner worlds
-
The ability to repair conflict and reconnect more quickly
EFT has been shown to be effective in over 70–75% of couples, across a wide range of relationship challenges.
Termination/Ending Therapy:
You are free to end therapy at any time. However, planned termination helps you reflect on your journey and solidify the emotional gains you've made.
If at any point I believe your concerns require a different kind of support, I will discuss it with you and—with your consent—refer you to a trusted professional who’s a better fit. Client progress notes can be transferred to ensure continuity of care.
How many sessions will I need?
EFT is a short- to medium-term model, typically lasting 8 - 20 sessions or longer, depending on the intensity and complexity of your concerns. I
Early sessions focus on history taking, understanding your patterns and building emotional safety. Later sessions help you practice new ways of relating, reconnecting, and bonding. We’ll regularly check in on your goals and needs to decide what’s next—whether it’s wrapping up, pausing, or shifting to maintenance sessions.

Interval of Sessions:
Sessions are usually scheduled once a week. We may adjust the frequency based on what feels most supportive for your process. Consistency is key, especially when working to shift long-standing relational patterns.

Responsibilities of Therapy Clients:
-
Arrive on time: Even if you’re late, we’ll end on time to respect everyone’s schedule
-
Show up emotionally: Be willing to explore your own emotions and listen deeply to your partner’s.
-
Stay engaged between sessions: The shifts you make outside of therapy—in your everyday moments together—are where true change takes root.
-
Between Session work: You may sometimes receive homework between sessions - reflective exercises, reading or behavioural h.w- to help continue the connection and integration in your daily life.
Feedback:
If you're unhappy with what's happening in therapy, I encourage you to talk about it with me so I can respond to your concerns. I will take such feedback seriously and with care and respect. Giving regular feedback to your therapist strengthens the therapeutic bond and leads to better therapy outcomes.
Booking & Cancellation Policy:
Booking:
First session is booked over WhatsApp and subsequent ones at the end of every session. For any issues, I'm always available on email or WhatsApp.

Cancellation of appointment:
I would need a minimum 12 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling, in order for me to utilize that time constructively. Cancellations outside that window would incur a 15% charge we will end the session on time so as to not inconvenience the next client.

Payments:
Payment to be done before the session through UPI transfer
I also provide a sliding scale option for clients who are unable to pay the regular charges. There are limited slots and session numbers offered in the lower-cost fee category.

Contacting me:
I will not be available throughout the day for any queries. You can leave a message for me on WhatsApp or email, and I will get back whenever time permits. I will try my best to reply by end of day except on Sundays or holidays.
The required ethical relationship that a therapist can have with his/her client is strictly professional. Any other relationship, such as a business or personal relationship may prevent or undermine the effectiveness of the treatment itself. Hence, I do not connect with clients on any social media platforms other than my official Instagram page or WhatsApp number (8861609771), nor am I obligated to answer any personal questions that may take the focus away from the client's concerns.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES:
Please know that I may not be immediately available during emergencies. If you're experiencing intense emotional distress or feel unsafe, I encourage you to reach out to your emergency contact person/s for immediate support until we are able to connect for a session.
