About

Sonali New White_edited_edited.jpg
Sonali is a person-centred psychologist working with couples & individuals (18–50 years) who are seeking greater clarity about themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be contributing to distress or disconnection.

Her clinical focus is on supporting couples to navigate the complexities of their relationship, identify recurring cycles of disconnection, and build healthier ways of engaging with one another. She believes that humans are profoundly impacted by disconnection and that it can reverberate across emotional, relational, and personal domains. Facilitating the movement from disconnection to reconnection is at the heart of her work, and she views it as both a privilege and a deeply meaningful part of my practice.
She works from a systemic and attachment-based lens, paying close attention to how early relational experiences shape the ways we connect—with ourselves and with others. Her approach is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

She views therapy as a collaborative process: a safe space to process pain and a creative space to imagine new possibilities. Her role is to walk alongside you, explore recurring patterns, ask meaningful questions, and support you in reconnecting with the parts of yourself that already hold wisdom, resilience, and potential. Each session is tailored to your unique experiences, needs, and pace, with the intention of meeting you exactly where you are—without judgement. You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Her practice is integrative and trauma-informed. She draws on a range of approaches, including
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. She also incorporates systems thinking and the use of genograms to understand the wider context of your relationships and life experiences.

Beyond the therapy room, she is deeply curious about the world. She enjoys reading and being part of a book club, and she draws inspiration from permaculture, sustainable architecture, and other practices that reflect interconnectedness and growth.
